About the Role

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring an Associate Software Engineer II to support moderately complex application development and systems integration. The role includes development, incident response, and collaboration across multiple project teams.

Responsibilities

• Define system scope and objectives through analysis and research.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs and scripts.
• Modify systems and procedures to improve performance and reliability.
• Respond to failures/performance events and reduce recurrence.
• Support multiple teams and provide guidance to less-experienced developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of programming experience.
• 1 year of experience with IT concepts and application development methods.
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language used at BCBST.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
