Junior Software Engineer (Python, JavaScript)

About the Role

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is hiring a junior software engineer for a fast-growing, tech-focused start-up. You will help build interactive training tools and real-world applications, working closely with a small, experienced engineering team. The role is remote-first, with two days per month in the Birmingham office.

Responsibilities

• Build interactive tools, training games, and product features.
• Develop and maintain web applications in Python and JavaScript.
• Learn and apply modern frameworks such as Vue or React.
• Collaborate with a small engineering team on real-world projects.
• Contribute ideas and improvements in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or 6-12 months of commercial experience.
• Comfortable with Python and/or JavaScript from projects or internships.
• Interest in modern frontend frameworks such as Vue or React.
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Able to travel to Birmingham two days per month.
