About the Role

Devengine is hiring a junior full-stack developer to build cloud-based web applications that power a healthcare scheduling platform. You will wrap existing Python scheduling algorithms with a Node.js and React web layer, working alongside a data scientist and a senior engineer for guidance. This is a long-term, fully remote contract role for candidates in the United States or Latin America.

Responsibilities

• Build web applications using Node.js (backend) and React (frontend).
• Translate desktop-based scheduling functionality into cloud-native services.
• Deliver full-stack features with emphasis on backend APIs.
• Deploy and support workloads on Google Cloud Platform services.
• Collaborate with the algorithm engineer and senior mentor on architecture.
• Work within a team environment with clear communication and shared ownership.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience building web applications.
• Strong Node.js backend skills and React frontend experience.
• Full-stack fundamentals across backend and frontend development.
• Experience collaborating in a team and receiving code reviews.
• Strong English communication skills (B2+ or higher).
