WealthCounsel LLC is seeking a motivated and driven Junior Software Developer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications while collaborating with other staff members. You will perform coding, debugging, testing, troubleshooting, and contribute to moderately complex aspects of ongoing projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain web-based applications.
- Work closely with team members to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
- Resolve software issues and respond to improvement suggestions.
- Proactively learn and utilize new technologies, concepts, and procedures.
- Provide estimates for development tasks.
- Develop source code and unit tests based on technical designs.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to technical documentation.
Requirements
- Strong skills in programming, debugging, and REST API usage.
- Solid understanding of systems and subsystems.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles.
- Knowledge of applicable software, languages, and coding practices.
- Willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience with Java.
- 1+ year of experience with JavaScript application development.
- Knowledge of internet client/server technologies.
- Bonus: Experience with AWS services and agile development.
